Bhopal Jan Shatabdi Express
The Bhopal Jan Shatabdi Express is a second class type Shatabdi Express train service offered by West Central Railway. The train runs between Bhopal Habibganj, the sub - urban railway station in Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh and Jabalpur Junction railway station of Jabalpur, one of the major city of Madhya Pradesh. The name "Bhopal Jan Shatabdi" refers to the second class service of the Shatabdi Express trains, hence the name "Jan Shatabdi Express" or the 'Peoples Shatabdi of Bhopal'

- Train no.12062 departs from Jabalpur daily at 06:00 reaching Bhopal, the same evening by 11:00

- Initially was announced in between Bhopal and Raipur but later, the service between was minimised till Jabalpur due to poor passenger response between Bilaspur and Raipur
- Special service run as 12061A/12062A Bhopal - Jabalpur - Bhopal Jan Shatabdi Special Express on every Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays during holidays.
- Good Patronage resulted in increase of 5 additional coaches for this train
12069/12070 Raigarh - Gondia Jan Shatabdi Express
The Raigarh - Gondia Jan Shatabdi Express is a 6 days a week running "Jan Shatabdi Express" train service which was introduced after the Bhopal Jan Shatabdi Express, for the implementation of the Jan - Shatabdi Express train service, exclusively for Chhattisgarh.
Further Information
Train no.12069 departs from Raigarh, every Monday till Saturday while the return service 12070 departs from Gondia on same days. The train goes via. Raipur and is again planned to get extended till Nagpur due to the poor patronage.
Train extension
This train is always targeted for the extension due to poor patronage and vacant berths. The extension history of the train is as under:
- 1 July 2004, Introduction of the train between Bilaspur and Raipur as Bilaspur - Raipur Jan Shatabdi Express.
- 1 August 2004, the train got extended till Durg for more patronage as Bilaspur - Durg Jan Shatabdi Express
- 1 March 2005, the train again was announced in the railway budget and got extended from Bilaspur to Raigarh as Raigarh - Durg Jan Shatabdi Express
- 1 December 2005, the train was re-extended from other side as Raigarh - Rajnandgaon Jan Shatabdi Express
- 6 July 2006, the train was again targeted for the Extension in the railway budget and was extended to Dongargarh
- 7 December 2006, for more patronoge, the train got extended to Gondia in Maharashtra.
- 5 May 2011, further planned to get extended till Nagpur, Maharashtra
